Sorry Mr. Chesney, but in my case it does.

You would think that my time being at home this summer would just be full of "chilling out" and trying to embrace the idea of doing nothing before school starts.

You would think that after working for a 12 hour a day at the Ohio State Fair that I would be spending all my time home in Florida just sitting by the beach and drinking pina coladas.

But, you were wrong.

(as if you couldn't have guessed that from the title of this entry)

I now have about two weeks or so until I return back to Columbus, OH and the way that I am passing the time is not by hanging out, but by actually doing more work. I was lucky enough to get re-hired back into my old job from last summer and work for the short amount of time that I am here in Orlando.

I am working for this construction company, which is owned by a family friend and a hard core Ohio State graduate, meaning he is one of the biggest Ohio State fans I know. His construction company, Hutton Enterprises, has incorporated their logo and color scheme around the OSU "Block O" and the scarlet and grey. I aspire to be as fired up for OSU when I am older. I mean, just check this out:

Pretty cool, right?

Needless to say, it's awesome working for an OSU alum. There is absolutely nothing more exciting that listening to stories about "days of old" on campus, especially if you get to hear this while you are doing work. So for the next few days I'm going to be doing physical construction tasks as well as office work while looking around at posters, flags, and paintings of the one place that I cannot wait to return to: my second home in Columbus.

In addition to getting my job back, I also got to see one of my favorite bands, O.A.R., perform again this summer. Ironically, I saw these guys the day that class ended at OSU; so pretty much, I started off my summer with them and got to finish with it too. Here's a pic of the show:

As you can see from the crowd, it was absolutely incredible; quite possibly one of the best concerts I have ever experienced.

In closing, I have some awesome news: college football starts this weekend.... and you know what that means right? The greatest time of the year is upon us. I can't wait for Buckeye football, it's like that feeling of anticipation and excitement on Christmas morning except it lasts for 12 weeks. ( great analogy, right?)

Haha anyways, I hope everyone has a great week and of course, GO BUCKS!
