like indecision to call you
(lyrics taken from blink 182...who I am seeing in concert!)
I think I'm going to have to start selling myself on the streets. I am not sure how to go about doing that, but I should find out because my books for school are going to cost a good $350 dollars. My book for my Comm 431 class costs $186 on its own. Usually I have gotten pretty lucky at OSU and spent below $150 on books the last couple quarters. This quarter I did not get lucky. I think I might sell one of my livers on the black market. Or maybe I'll sell a kidney. I don't know. I'm sure I'll figures something out, and I'll probably lose a couple body parts in the process.
I started work and school this week. If you are freshman or sophomore and need a job you should without a doubt work in campus dining. I transferred to OSU in the middle of the year last year, and although I went to the activities they set up and made friends in the dorms I found myself making most of my friends though my job at campus dining. It's easy, you make good friends, and you get paid. What more could you ask for?
I'm taking three English classes this quarter and I love it. Although I have to get a lot of books and read a lot I would much rather be doing that than doing math or stat homework. I actually enjoy reading and I was rather pleased with the literature my English professors picked out for this quarter.
I went to a Sufjan Stevens concert with my boyfriend last Thursday. And I'm going to a Blink-182/Fall Out Boy/All-American Rejects concert next Thursday and a Manchester Orchestra/Brand New concert next friday. This week is going to be busy. It's kind of crazy having a boyfriend who loves music more than I do. But I love it. And luckily I don't have class on friday, just work. Which I also love.
Basically besides having to sell myself for some cash this week has gone pretty smoothly and I'm pretty optimistic about this quarter.
