Not to mention post another blog post!
Mood= Blank
Random= Here we have a wild…
Yes I know it’s been an entire week since I’ve posted a blog. For those of you (if any) that faithfully awaits my next blog post (who am I kidding?) I apologize. This campus gets kind of quiet with midterms going on and what not. The good news is that since it’s been a whole week since I’ve posted something, I have plenty to talk about right? WRONG! It’s been an unusually slow week for just about everything.
But fear not citizens, I have not lead you here deceivingly. I finally found the time to finally find something that I’m actually interested in (and have time for) to join: Wrestling Club! Funny story how I found it though; see wrestling was one of the very few clubs that actually didn’t have a table set up during the
student involvement fair. This kind of made me sad considering I wrestled all throughout High School (and most of Jr. High), don’t really want to do Varsity (I have my reasons) but not ready to stop wrestling all together.
Now I know I could have probably have used
the search engine on Ohio State’s website and have just typed in “club wrestling” but I had to focus all of my time getting into the right rhythm for school (trust me this is a lot harder than it sounds) which took me almost three weeks to perfect. At this point I kind of ran out of excuses and will just have to admit that I got lazy and every time I got onto Ohio State’s website, I found myself easily distracted by something I probably didn’t have to do. So maybe if I get on my computer with the intention of not doing anything I’m supposed to be doing, I just might get distracted and end up doing something I’m supposed to be doing!
So after weeks of wondering how I can find where and when the wrestling club practices I just happen to be running around my floor in Morrill Tower when I just happened to see a single white piece of paper just hanging up with the rest of the flyers that go unnoticed. This wasn’t any normal flyer; however, it was a wrestling flyer (cue
Handel's Hallelujah Chorus)! Not just any wrestling flyer, a wrestling flyer that had the day and times on it! This prompted me to immediately call back home and inform them that I will need my wrestling gear after all. It’s been almost eight months since the last time I went to any type of wrestling practice, and seven months since I’ve stepped on a mat to wrestle. I’m really crossing my fingers right now and hoping that I’m not too out of shape!
Lesson Learned: Don’t worry about looking for clubs. By some strange stroke-of-luck, they will somehow find you!
